Emporio Armani City Glam for Her by Giorgio Armani was launched in 2005 and follows the young style of the whole Emporio Amani line, which also includes clothing.
The opening has an aroma between fruity and floral, with dark berries in the line of redcurrant, plus a traditional rose. The rest of the fruits are indefinite, and juicy and neutral in general. In the middle phase, the aroma tends to give more space to the classic and powdery rose, keeping the fresh aroma of berries in the background. As it evolves, rose is less intense and classic, and blends with a soft peony (in a way that reminds of a classic of feminine perfumery like L’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci). In the base notes, the perfume is fresher, with a floral aquatic peony and young white roses, plus a note of jasmine offering support in the background.
As the name suggests, this is an urban fragrance, ideal for a daily use, thanks to its striking and glamorous notes. The opening is somewhat classic, with a distinct rose, but once it gets to the middle phase, it tends towards a more plain floral, although it will still have a lot of personality. Like the other fragrances of the Emporio line, City Glam has a non-complex structure, designed for a summer use. It is clean enough to be used in an office, and informal for night-outs, especially if it is sprayed right before going out. On the romantic side, it won’t have much to say, as it is more focused on a personal use, rather than a social one. The ideal age range goes from 25 to 45 years, although women between 30 and 40 will get the most out of it.
